EOS Community Halts $250 Million of Funding to Block.one

EOS community has voted to stop paying Block.one – the company that originally designed the network – as the community claim that it is no longer acting in the network’s best interest. Block.one was expected to receive 67 million EOS from the EOS blockchain in the next six to seven years. This will also affect Brock Pierce who is the co-founder of stablecoin issuer Tether and co-founder of Block.one. He would have received around half of the tokens from Block.one but now they have all been stripped of their ownership of the tokens by the community

According to a recent research by consumer data aggregator CivicScience, there was a 140% increase in the number of respondents who said they would be more likely to invest their money in crypto than traditional stocks compared to five months ago. BTC dominance index has dropped to 40.49%. BTC price fell to around $48,500 and ETH price is trading around $4,100. For BTC, $46,000 is the first short term support level. If BTC can’t hold above this area, it may drop to the $42,000 zone.
