Meta plans to allow users to display NFTs on their Facebook and Instagram profiles, as well as working on a prototype to help users mint NFTs, according to several people familiar with the matter. Meta is also discussing launching a marketplace for users to buy and sell NFTs, two of the people said. In December, Instagram head Adam Mosseri said the company was actively exploring NFTs, but gave no specifics. It is reported that Novi, Facebook’s wallet application, will provide support for the NFT function.
MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor said in an interview that MicroStrategy has no plans to sell bitcoin despite the fact that the price of most digital assets in the market has fallen by 30-40%. Saylor believes Bitcoin remains one of the best inflation hedges and alternatives for stock buyback events. BTC traded in a range of $35,000 – $40,000, indicating substantial volatility over the last 24 hours. Trading volume has declined by 27.35 percent, totalling $16.9 billion, while the total market cap trades around $819 billion, resulting in the market dominance of 40.17 percent.
