Today’s Cryptocurrency Headline

Larry Cermak, head of research at The Block tweeted that NBA star Stephen Curry bought Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) apes for 55 ETH ($180,000). In addition, he also owned a NFT of Bored Ape Kennel Club’s companion dog for apes. The NFT is a dog strapped to a basketball hoop.

He has also gotten a number of NFT projects’ airdrops. OpenSea, an NFT trading platform, shows that his address in the database already has 118 NFTs, with the most expensive NFTs costing five ETH. Curry quickly became a TikTok hit when he changed his Twitter avatar to Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Bitcoin is holding the $47,600 support zone while failing to clear the $48,900 resistance level over the past few hours. BTC formed a base above $47,000 and suffered a downside break below the $48,000 level. If the price continues to move down, the next major support is near the $45,600 level. 

The bulls have not been able to push BTC above the overhead resistance zone between $50,000 and $51,000. With that being said, it seems that the bears have not thrown in the towel yet, indicating a range-bound action in the near term. BTC may continue waving between $46,000 and $49,000 for some time.
