Polygon Paid About 3.46 Million U.S. dollars in Bounty to Two White Hat Hackers

Polygon announced related content about the recent network upgrade. Polygon stated that on December 3rd and 4th, two white hat hackers notified Immunefi, which hosts Polygon’s bug bounty program, of a vulnerability in the Polygon PoS genesis contract. Polygon decided to upgrade the mainnet after confirming the vulnerability and completed mainnet upgrade for 90%+ validators at Block #22156660. Despite Polygon’s effort, a malicious hacker was able to use the exploit to steal 801,601 MATIC before the network upgrade took effect. The foundation will bear the loss. In addition, Polygon paid a total of approximately $3.46 million as bounty to two white hats.

According to Skew, a total of 129,800 BTC option contracts, worth more than $6 billion, will expired this Friday. S&P 500 has scored all-time high recently, but BTC has plunged about 30% from its all-time high at $69,000. BTC price broke below the 200-day simple moving average of $47,768. If the price rises and sustains above the 200-day SMA, the bull may push the price to $51,000 resistance level again.
